Footnote 2 Poem by Ahmad Shiddiqi

Footnote 2

Rating: 5.0

the rain pours lightly
a destiny is written
on silken gate
glowing

whose waterfalls
echo wonderfully
around fragile nature
so soft, so naive

teri yaad sath hai
banke tera jadi hai
rabne bana di jodi
tere naam kardi

blooming of morning jasmine
gorgeously uncovered
a companion of love
mirrored, melting

your calm shadow
weave a dream of longing
soul tenderly brightens
so divine, so humble
