So tired of violence,
Dishonor, and Lies!
My very own Country
I do not recognize!
Such Evil,
Criminal upheaval
Loss of Life,
Open borders
Drugs,
Human Beings
Sacrificed,
Money, for blood.
A country,
Run by Liars
With no morals
No pride,
Just there for,
The ' Good
Time, ' ride,
Have taken hold
As downwards
We glide,
Stupid and Sold.
They say,
When this happens
Nothing can save
Us,
Not even the Devil's
Putrefied, gold,
Shame on this
Country
And shame on us
Too,
For having gotten
To a point
Where the fires
From Hell were
Allowed to come in
And even,
Sometimes,
Shamefully
Cheered along,
Too!
Truth where Truth
Is due!
Dear LeeAnne, thank you so much for your wonderful words. These are hard times for our country and us

Extraordinary write.I applaud your courage to put the truth before all the readers.
Liked the title, very powerful. So proud of your courage and determination, my friend, to expose and condemn the evilness of humanity. A great poem well expressed and executed.
' Where the fires from were allowed to come in', wonderful lines from a great poem.
As always, my friend, so powerful and incisive lines that can cut like the blade of a sharp knife.
This poem has not been translated into any other language yet.

5. Truth is the most irrelevant thing, Sandra. Everything yields to power
With all due respect, Poet Menon, there are still those people with outstandingly good morals who are fighting against the evils in society!
