Glass Garden Poem by Bill Cantrell

Glass Garden

Rating: 5.0

A glass garden the last garden
Every flower well arranged
All are chanting one long dirge
Nothing will ever be the same
Letters upon letters
I can only read the names
Sealed up for the moment when
I can endure the pain
Forty years, storms and tears
My how time does fly
Though I wept throughout our days
This is the first time that I prayed to die
Glass garden,
The last garden
Flowers void of bees
Forty years now disappear,
I pray you Rest In Peace

Glass garden, shiny but devoid of life. Five stars for this. I seldom log in to PH anymore, but I'm glad I did today to see this, Bill!

Heartfelt poem, very touchy, I can feel the pain of flowers (Metaphor for person) going through this glass covered phase (ICU) tough to handle. Full ********
