How my mind, as that of a child
Frivolous and foolish, seeks solace
In a fictitious world of make believe
While reality, like a fiend stares right on my face!
Waiting for none, the globe continues to spin
And seasons arrive and depart without default
Yet how I wish to think,
With my exit, the world will come to an abrupt halt
When I am gone and lie cold under the sod
And my memory no more lingers
How I wish to feel
My absence continually injures
Gains and losses when added up
Weighs equal on life's dispassionate balance
Yet how I wish to boast
With success alone, I ever had my alliance
Though I never reached the peak I sought
And faltered on my way distraught
How I wish to console
I got everything for which I had fought
Future awaits me with gloom and gaiety
And victory is certain to follow defeat
Yet how I wish to proclaim
Here is one for whom life shall ever be a treat!
Very nice. Life is the best fest. when we won't live this world will remain the same.Your wish is a thought of poetic mind. Here let's enjoy life as in it joy and woe are woven fine.10+++
What I tricky poem, it kept playing with my curiosity, and at last it blew my critic intentions off. Well coordinated and projected. I said it was tricky because, I noticed; you started with no rhyming and all of a sudden; some verses started falling in and out of rhyme. This made the poem a two way excises, so it kept dribbling the breeze of my mind. I'll give you a 10 points, but next time, let me hope to give you 20points.lol. I enjoy Poets who writes; to steal the mind, not those, who write to compress and make the mind pale. Valsa, you are a write! *Lots of love* kingfemi.
As you wish the festivity of your life will bloom for you and usher in a phase of a much more joyous and rewarding experience. The superseding optimism has scattered the descending clouds of the untoward ever in your life, hence the strong wish is significantly potent enough. Mr King Femi is very frank always and never stingy of words. We are surprised at his amazing typing speed that makes him........ .That is he and of course, he is differently quite pleasant poet over here.
We should all count our blessings and see our life as a glass half full rather than a glass half empty. Very good write.
Future awaits me with gloom and gaiety And victory is certain to follow defeat Yet how I wish to proclaim Here is one for whom life shall ever be a treat! .........touching expression with nice theme. A thoughtful lovely poem has been nicely shared.10
Sometimes life becomes a little unpleasant, when the bad patch is washed by a shower of plesant thingswe truly enjoy the new pleasures of life and we forget the unpleasant moments. We hate to take bitter medicines during sickness but when we are cured we look at those medicines as driend looks at another helpful friend. A lovely and thoughtful poem by Valsa George.
Very insightful and scripted with touching lines......Valsa......really an amazing piece with a touch of immortality..... 10/10
Gains and losses when added up Weighs equal on life's dispassionate balance Yet how I wish to boast With success alone, I ever had my alliance very human, very natural! ! ! a philosophical poem not even staying on the safe side, composed with aesthetic honesty! ! !
