The mountains,
how they rise
to meet the skies,
in serenity untouched by city noise
How they rise
from earth's bosom,
leaping to enthrall the beholder
How we lose ourselves
in their stately rise,
longing for an escape
from the wayward tides
of our racing lives.

Eruption of larva boiling in the bosom when turned in mountains brought valuable rocks but when it cooled it became a source of peace the most precious jewel. A beautiful poem. Nowadays when I am watching it and getting peace in the northern areas of Pakistan, camped at Islamabad, it's a well in time poem for me.
Beautiful poem on mountain and nature. We get peace from them.. wisely drafted. Thanks for sharing.
Mountains towering ahead commands awe and wonder in the beholder...! The assumption that they are trying to keep themselves away from the noise and confusion of the cities is something so rational!

The mountains have that kind of effect on my too. Love them. Now that i'm living in the midwest, I don't see those mountains anymore. Miss them. I like the musicality of this writing. It is beautiful ad enthralls the beholder Nosheen. Thanks for sharing.
Spoken with a sweet sigh. How they rise, how they rise. Lording over our everyday world. Touching the sky. There is majesty to inspire or humble us as we trace and re-trace the paths of our lives. The mountains fill our view. As the folds of the rose fill our world too.
