How to write a new poem?
I couldn't find new things
Whereever I see I find
The same things in my mind.
Trees, sky, and water, soil
Animals, humans, reptiles all
I see same huts and edifices
Life with frolic and tragic.
Person enjoys fruits as per karma
Resolves go with soul to next birth
Karma remains with soul as shadow
Till enjoying the fruits of action.
A person with righteous works
Get knight, prestige, and fame
Walking on right path leads him heaven
Peace arrives and poems he can pen.
The title of this poem catches my eye. I go through with it and it was weaved with passion and spirituality. For me, the heart beat of this beautiful piece lies in the last stanza. A marvelous write that goes on the core values of an individual and his deep faith in God Almighty.10
Topic for a poem is in the surroundings and one's own thoughts. Put in words turns into a poem. Nicely explained.
' Karma' is a key word with you, and in your culture. The West knows little of karma, except that it is like a settling of accounts, in this life or the next, a reward for the good things which you do. Good karma can make a person ready to write poems, quite easily: it is his reward. Like you, I see basically the same scenes every day-animals, people, buildings. It is how we see the world that matters, I think.
How true your lovely words Kumarmani. Person enjoys fruits as per karma Resolves go with soul to next birth Karma remains with soul as shadow Till enjoying the fruits of action. As in heaven will be on Earth for those that experience and understand these concepts of life.10

This is a problem faced by most of us! We find the subjects for writing poems exhausted! But in peace, when we sit meditating, we get the ability to write on many topics. Though the subjects may be old or frequently dealt with, still they will assume novelty and beauty when properly inspired! Great write!
Very inspiring indeed and the fact spelt out very honestly with regards to problems almost a composer faces while thinking and composing new poems when old and conventional topics get exhausted......outstanding....thanks for sharing......10

Kumarmani, you capture the struggle of each writer, poet, so well. And indeed...when the peace comes, those new words and ideas follow. A wonderful poem, Kumarmani.
