I Lost My Way Poem by ANJANDEV ROY

I Lost My Way

Rating: 4.9

I lost my way
In the midst of pitch darkness,
Strange wind came
From the darkest region
With its mysterious fragrance,
I was not afraid,
I waited,
Slowly I began to smell the fragrance;
In course of time
I recognised it,
I had smelt it many times in my vision,
It was not my enemy,
It was my friend,
It would surely lead me
Towards a new kingdom,
Where the bright sun would shine at its best.

" mysterious fragrance…" the enigma that is life, the power of nature, the instincts of human beings …. A believer can call this power "God"…

. When I think of 'pitch dark' I think of 'no light', so it sounds 'funny' to me to read of an area of pitch darkness as being 'the darkest region'

I'm guessing the 'new kingdom' was a neighbor's backyard family cookout. You were smeling hamburgers and skewered 'veggies' cooking on a grill. : ) bri

By the eed by end of 6th line, It sounds like the fragrance was noticed...but then line 8 speaks of beginning to smell it. Hmm?

....but definitions are not without variety/differences for the same word. Do you know what I mean... It can be useful OR annoying.
