In Search Of You My God. - Poem by anisha Kolencherry

I sang songs of love
in search of you my God.

Singing i came down to the wilderness.

Nothing was clear.
Everything was vague.

I saw through a thin shroud.

You are there in wide open place.

This place seems never ending.
long and wide in the wilderness.

The quest for almighty is eons old. But as Sant Kabeer Das said, Tera Saayee tichh mein, jyom puhpan mein baas! : - God resides in oneself; but we continue search him in temples and churches; but, donot turn and look into our own mind.

Or as Ulloor, the famous Malayalam poet said, atuthu nilporanujane nokkan akshikal illathorku aroopan Easwaran adhrushyan aayal athilenthashcharyam? - There no wonder that God is invisible to those who do not use their eyes to look (with sympathy) at their brothers in pain near them.

Your poem inhales energy from these ancient stalwarts and exudes infinite love for God and through him, to the entire humanity. Great work. Keep writing.
