A beautifully crafted metaphoric gem! Unfulfilled wishes are the hardest type of regret to deal with and you have so poetically and artistically captured that here. A super succinct write. Thank you for sharing dear Tony... (Report) Reply

I agree Philo - my beautiful husband flew away two years ago, and though at times I cry, I am so happy that he is at peace and not suffering. I know I will see him again and that this earth is not really our home, its just somewhere to visit. I am still completely in love with my husband and will shortly pen my poetry about him. The passion of love reaching into ones heart and trying to defeat the Angel of Death. This tale is felt by us in a Life time.

Fantastic image you have etched into my mind! I have done the same thing many times in life, it touches the sadness of the soul. Great Haiku! Thank you for sharing. Added to my favorite poem list. A 10 for it! RoseAnn (Report) Reply
