The Sakhi tells Radha about Krishna who waits anxiously for the arrival of his beloved Radha. Krishna sits in the same spot, remembering their earlier rendezvous when they were deeply in love, torn by cupid's merciless arrows. He spends sleepless nights muttering frivolous words. The Sakhi says, "Oh Radhe, Krishna is love sick and he madly desires your embrace."

Krishna dressed most attractively,
Having mastered the art of love,
Even better than Kama-the God of love,
Awaits you with intense passion!
Says Sakhi to Radha:
"Go to the forest near Kalindhi river,
Where Krishna with his tender hands,
Spectacular with a garland of forest flowers,
Awaits you in eagerness and great expectation! "

Calling out your name repeatedly,
Playing the flute with magical notes,
Imagining pollen dust smeared on your body,
He touches with tender care as the wild wind blows.
Says Sakhi to Radha:
"Go to the forest near Kalindhi river,
Where Krishna with his tender hands,
Spectacular with a garland of forest flowers,
Awaits you in eagerness and great expectation! "

The birds flapping their wings,
The leaves rustling in the wind
Doubting it to be your approaching steps,
Stares at the pathway most expectantly!
Says Sakhi to Radha:
"Go to the forest near Kalindhi river,
Where Krishna with his tender hands,
Spectacular with a garland of forest flowers,
Awaits you in eagerness and with great expectation! "

Your tinkling anklets betrays your presence,
Remove them and hold it in your hands,
Lest your enemies watch you,
Disguise yourself in dark clothes,
And walk silently in the dense forest.

Awaits you in eagerness and with great expectation! "

While your gold necklace touches Krishna's dark body,
Like white cranes caressing the black clouds,
You shine like a lightning in his arms with bright pearl necklaces.

Awaits you in eagerness and with great expectation! "

Oh lotus-eyed Radhe, loosen your pretty garments
And prepare yourself for love's intense play,
Krishna is starved of your intoxicating passion.

Awaits you in eagerness and with great expectation! "

Krishna is proud. Do not test his patience.
The night is about to end.
Now, listen to me without further delay
Go and fulfill his desires!
