Tulasi is her name,
Tender green foliage,
Truly lovable,
The beloved of Sri Krishna -
The divine flute player!
Adorning Tulasi in His bosom,
A garland that swings around his neck,
Attractive leafy necklace brighter than gems,
Aroma that envelops Krishna with
Altruistic fragrance of pure love!
Symbol of purity,
Saviour of sinners,
Subjugating ego,
Succinct leaves that can liberate
Souls from the clutches of birth and death!
Offer Sri Krishna a choice -
Of scented blossoms like jasmine,
Or the pretty white chrysanthemum,
Or the exotic parijata flower,
Or even a pretty red rose!
Krishna would pick up the
Healing leaves of devotion-Tulasi
His favourite adornment -
His pick of chaste love
His sacred heart!

Adorning Tulasi in His bosom in garland is very nice and Krishna reveals the truth of purity and affection. Very interesting poem shared on medicinal plant Tulsi which is worshiped by many people. A heart touching poem shared really.10

Thulasi, (basil) a very sacred plant is considered as the incarnation of the Goddess Vrinda who attained immortality through the plant. She was very much devoted to Lord Mahavishnu and thus became very dear to Lord Krishna. Thank you Geeta Menon very much for your attempts for upholding the sanctity of Dharma....10
