Donna, this heart-felt poem almost brought tears to my eyes. It reminded me of a friend that I had recently lost to cancer. She was very much like the heroine in your poem. She had lived a very tragic life, but was an optimist. And she brought a lot of joy and fun to her friends. She, like you, are heroines because you meet adversity head on and move on with your lives. That takes strength. And it takes courage to be able to share. I commend you. Congratulations on Poem Of The Day. Very well deserved.
