Life - Poem by Stephen Mountain
You Enter this world screaming,
Your fed, played with,
loved and protected 24/7,
Like good people do when they go to heaven
We depend on them,
To teach us to walk,
and teach us to talk.
At school you learn lots of new skills,
like maths, english and science.
You even learn whats right and wrong,
before it's too late and the past is gone.
After school it's on to new things,
Go to college or get a job.
You may fall in love, you may not,
if you don't, dont fuss as love isn't all lifes got.
As life goes on,
you get older and wiser.
Our Parents now depend on us,
isn't it funny what life does.
People will die whilst you live,
You will lose friends and family.
It may take you a while to mourn,
but memories will drain out the pain way past dawn.
Eventually your time will come,
to say goodbye and leave this world.
Leaving many memories behind,
to live on in your loved ones mind.
