What is life?
Some feel it is as cruel as a surgeon's knife.
Some think life is like a sea,
filled with flowing waves of opportunity.
Some think life is like a sky,
in which love and peace fly.
Some think life is like fresh air,
filled with love and care.
Some think life is like the gushing wind,
in which all our happiness we find.
Some feel life is like a horizon which is really wide,
in which our success hides.
Some think life is the golden key,
just meant for you & me.
Some feel life is like a treasure chest,
where we gather our keepsakes and treasure our best.
What indeed life is?
Depends on how towards it we see!
Multitude of goals human assign to themselves, you're right. I think life is to be enjoyed to the fullest even we should enjoy it in bad times. Good idea and good verses.
Heyya Tanvi, A very good poem. The way you use different components of life is really stunning. Keep it up and work on it going to bits. Regards
Something different, a good attempt. I like the topic youve chosen and how youve gone about it. Good poem
hey...an excellent poem. but would like to differ...surgeon's knife is not cruel...it is the kindest knife of all....it gives life...does not take it..
cruel like a surgeons knife.......hmmmm interesting..... nice one
I like it because its so true Keep writing... thats all i can say follow your heart and accomplish your dreams...
Yes I agree life is how we see it. Drifted by fate; we can only see it and can do nothing about it. Plese read my DRIFTWOODS & PAGES on my analysis of life.
Interesting depth of perception here, Tanvi! Strong use of empathy and metaphor to convey the vast rainbow of desires within the human heart. Well done! Warm regards, John.

Life is so precious..it is said that even the angels cannot be born as human life though they want it...Life is what we are...and what we are undergoing...only the living creature can define the meaning of life....... Its amazing how to dig out the deep meaning of life...am so impressed by how you wrote here...Keep it up...and all the very best in your life...
