He stood so shocked at Heaven’s door
Not by its splendor nor its décor
But by the folks already in
Those who had very many sin
Pick pockets, prostitutes, rogues and more
Deep imagination required. Interesting poem Valsa. Thanks for sharing.
Pick pockets, prostitutes, rogues and more, even your friend Akhtar Jawad, are helpless before the fate. We know nothing but He knows everything!
Liked it! On a personal note thank you for sharing your knowledge on Limerick.
I agree with akhter jawad...he knows everything! ! Yes he knows abt every heart.....and he have lots of mercy :)
An excellent limerick dear madam! Appreciated and admired. Top 🌟
this is a lovely limerick! Man is judgemental - in his view pickpockets, .. are sinners and should not be in heaven. God has analysed their cases on merit -why so and so is a pickpocket, or a prostitute.. and on merit allowed them in. Our hero, may not be upto the mark!
Goes to show that the divine judgement of God which scrutinizes mind and heart of man, is beyond three dimensional comprehension of even the wisest of men. Poignant piece of poetry nicely brought forth with spiritual insight. Thanks for sharing Valsa.
