Love Is A Moment Of Ecstasy
Love is a moment of ecstasy
That I never had
I don't know how I became an expert
I guess because I think it hourly
Trying to ignore
The loneliness I have inside
How I wanted to experience a kiss
That wasn't a punishment
For being the freak of the class
I wanted someone dare to love me
As I am
But it's too late, my destiny has arrived
I am locked in solitaire confinement
With old age as my companion
Only if I wasn't a person everybody
Thought to be weird
Then, I would know truly what
I am talking about

My heart aches for you, LeeAnn. Everyone deserves to find love and acceptance. I had a cousin who finally got married when she was well past 40 years old (and an uncle who was about 80) . Best wishes to you! .
