I don't know
how it happened,
falling in love
with the unknown.
Can you bury it?
the moment,
that made you cry and laugh
simultaneously.
A lot it added
or subtracted
the moment, that was
beyond comprehension.
Now in this moment
sitting on a mound of experience
I can say
my tears came from wanting
what belonged
not to me.

Hi Nosheen, An extremely poignant poem. And the experience one gains from life decides how one faces the intrigues of life: Sitting on a mound of experience, sure I can say, the poet clearly understands that my tears came from wanting what belonged not to me. Well done Nosheen. a big 10+++
That sums up the source of all tears. Love it. my tears came from wanting what belonged not to me.
Can you bury it? the moment, that made you cry and laugh simultaneously............................It's a great poem Nosheen Irfan.
Nosheen, you have such a unique voice and a wise mind-set coupled with a beautiful compassion for the faulty beings that surround us and are us. Now in this moment sitting on a mound of experience I can say my tears came from wanting what belonged not to me.- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - Now this is wisdom, not magnificently hung with giant diamonds and rubies and emeralds, but simply and elegantly placed before us like the humble yet precious pearl it is. Nosheen, your heart and soul are remarkable and they sing so sweetly and wisely in your poetry.10 X a million. 10+++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++ and another place on my Fav list..
for one, dreams and hopes and wishes are such solid as earth, life is matter plus soul plus emotions? or we can life is matter plus something unknown plus something weird :) . poem is beautiful.
This is a mature poem, and honest to its deepest core! Only one who has seen experiences thoroughly, in all their dimensions - and reflected on what she has learned, only such a poet could write this poem. And that poet is YOU. There is sadness here, but it is a sweet sadness, because she knows her heart was true and her intentions right. So there is no guilt or self-criticism. Only a note of sadness over lost opportunities swells at the poem's closing. Tenderness hovers over your poem; it becomes a kind of consolation because it contains not a trace of selfishness. This is a poem celebrating the OPEN HEART.

Nosheen, here you observe your own love as an impassioned observer. The state of maturity you have now reached has been earned through tears and heart break. However you don't despise that moment when you fell in love as you believe, 'a lot it has added' and a lot it has subtracted. However you have calmly come to a realization at the end which leads to a sort of passive resignation without any sense of revolt... ' My tears came from wanting what belonged not to me'! Honest and open.... Beautiful verse! 10+
