Moonshine Adoration Poem by Nashy Lamen

Moonshine Adoration

Rating: 5.0

Tick- tock, tick-tock, tick-tock,
The clock kept ticking,
A vast amount of time slipped by,
And I fell unconsciously into thinking..

I brought back old grudges,
Obstructed all tries,
Left now with no chances,
I drowned up in lies.

And then there I stood,
I gave it a shook,
Woke up from a nightmare,
A strange chance I took.

I cleared out my vision,
Wept all of my pain,
Thrilled with illusion,
And yet I felt vain.

Perplexed and so puzzled,
I sit and I wait,
An answer so vague,
A moonshine I’d hate.

I fueled up my mind,
Thought more on what to do,
I couldn’t accept it,
A life lived so blue,

But then you showed up,
You gave me a sign,
Just when all hope lost,
You pushed back more time.

My life then had meaning,
Reborn, there I was,
A spark grew to fire,
Aflame there with dust.

A love so strong-willed,
A life so renewed,
You became my existence,
You became my whole world..

Somehow..I see a girl..sitting alone in a bed, blankness in her eyes..till a touch on her shoulder brought back warmth to her...a smile dazzled her..she blinked, then she was alone again. Each time the moon was full and bright, she would go to her window and bathe herself in the moonlight, filling herself with the meaning and purpose of her life...with the memory from the last time fluorished like wings. Great poem! Keep writing!
