As a child, I was often asked
why do I block my ears,
with cotton wool and ear plugs?
but I pretended not to hear...
It's rather embaressing
I admited one day
My Mother likes to sing...
and my brothers and I have learnt
to do the very next best thing...
As not to hurt Ma's feelings
we never told her so,
that when she sung it made us cringe
but we had a plan you know...
We've hidden all the mirrors
and protected all our ears...
so Mother sings to her hearts content
and us? NO MORE TEARS....
Dedicated to my Mother who
has a unique singing voice BLESS!
'You've hidden all the mirrors and protected all your ears'. I take it then, that all the windows in the house are smashed. Love the comedy style. The best part of comedy, I feel, is its diversity. This is a nice comical and unusual piece. Get a sound booth fitted Tee Hee Steve 11.375 out of ten
I know what you mean - my wife, kids, and the cat had to put up with my singing. All part of family life! Nice piece Tracy. Mark
