*** My Heavenly Father *** Poem by ANJALI SINHA

*** My Heavenly Father ***

Rating: 3.5

Canvas you make
a masterpiece
reflection of
heavenly bliss.,
as you are a
master bard,
and can paint
with wonderful words.
You paint it
I glance it
and my pensive pen
adoring you as a gentle
Poet and man
scribbles the perfect ten.

Then after a lull
my heart singing like
a seagull
longs to paint the one
using the
rainbow colors of sun
and brush dancing
with fun

I handpicked the colors
from the rainbow
and paint it with
heavenly glow
words divine
chatting with star’s shine
in moonlit clime.
I invite you for an opinion
To preen my heart’s pinions

But stoic silence
challenges my resilience.
Then I scour
page, day and night
searching the comment
with hope’s light.
The words that praises
and heals
my smarting woes and weal

I know I’ m not
as poesy as you,
still as a father,
at least
you can shower,
your praise
an unconditional grace,
with,
words well dressed,
to encourage
nascent talent,
a poetic temperament
of your so called
daughter,
and fill her
with mirth and laughter.

If your praise is not hoax
Why write in inbox
Show your love
In broad daylight
Inundate my heart
With paternal praise-
an ambrosial delight

Tell me why
different standards for me?
Why make you fall me on my knee?
Why assault my heart
Filled with glee?

Have you an answer?
Then respond
Otherwise ours
Is not true bond.

oh my God anju....the time i started reading, i cant help smiling on the beauty of your poetry..a masterpiece...a heart from a heart, full of emotions...done with all your love and respect...not just a mere fruit of your brilliancy but fruit of everything in you....very excellent...he must be very happy reading this. ...a fatherly love...which is also true to the fact that mostly fathers dont show much of their feelings....but they love us so much...just beside us to guide us...i love the way you put it into poetry...different...really different, amazing..seems you're a painter aside from being a poet....you're simply a born poet...every words in your mind are already formed into poetry...whatever you think..it is already poetry...if i have to put all the adjectives for your piece..there will be no more space for the others.. lol....A+++++++++++++10+++++++

hey Anju, more than a poetry.. these lines are your emotions. I hv seen, the relationship of a father and daughter is so different.. father - so protective, so caring. daughter - always wishes to see his love for her. but jus as any man, father can only convey his love and care to some extent... may be wid u and him, its ur inbox... All i can say is - u take care of his feelings for now and after a while, he will take care of yours. I feel that One day, u'll see his name before any other below your wonderful poems.
