She opens her beautiful eyes at dusk,
To look at the vast expanse of the fascinating earth,
Fading into the soft shades of magical twilight,
With the birds flying back to their comfortable nests.
She looks at the Sun from the corner of her eyes,
Nodding her head with a mischievous twinkle,
Waves a charming ‘good bye' to him,
Whispering sweetly: "Go! take rest! Come back again tomorrow"!
She blushes like a young bride,
When the humans look at her awe-struck,
Staring at her with their intoxicating eyes,
And winking at her so unabashedly and tirelessly!
She decides to hide behind the trees,
With their hanging branches and exotic pink blooms,
She adorns herself with the beautiful veil of silken hues,
She is none other than the beauty queen - 'The Mesmerising Moon'!

A mesmerizing moon epitomized in this mesmerizing poem. With your deft masterstroke with personification, the heavenly bodies, which we are so used to watching day and night, have come alive with lovable gaiety and frolic. The symbolism and action of moon while giving farewell to the evening sun is so breathtaking and awesome. Another wonderful poem celebrating nature from your golden treasury. Thanks, Geeta ji.
