Nature's Cry Poem by David Wood

Nature's Cry

Rating: 5.0

I walk around this tree lined place
And look at autumn's falling colours
On mild weathered tree lined paths
In a warm spring like November

Now all these trees have become
Confused as I see new buds forming
Now and not in spring while autumn's
Golden leaves are still softly falling

It is man's colossal failure for not taking
Action earlier but focussing on how much
Profit their businesses can make by
Over production at nature's expense

Man has identified the problem and knows
The solution - cut out fossil fuels - but the
Lure of making a profit is too great leaving
Their children to save nature
