Never Meant - Poem by Christina Viera

Everywhere
I see it everywhere from the park to the beach
From my school to my home
Everyone
I see it in everyone
Like a disease
The people infected
All the time
I see it all the time
No matter
Night or day
Morning or noon

The thing is I am the outsider
The one immune to the disease
But I never had the vaccination

Maybe, just maybe
I was never meant to love
