New Tomorrows Poem by Ernestine Northover

New Tomorrows

Rating: 5.0

How distant is the moon,
when two become far apart.
No romance from its light,
to illuminate the heart.

The sun can act likewise,
it can hardly warm the soul.
Stays hidden behind cloud,
no likelihood to cajole.

Alone one rides the day,
smiling to the sky above.
facing new tomorrows,
longing for the one you love.
