Next In Line Poem by Meggie Gultiano

Next In Line

Rating: 5.0

when you face life's problems and adversities
and come to God in prayer
waiting and waiting to no end
remember that God never comes too soon or late
you are next in line to the person ahead of you
yes next time you are next in line
to that person in front of you
God in His infinite wisdom
knows that, that person is in dire need than you are
his problems might be bigger and his faith is stronger

trust in His words and be thankful
little things or in big things, be grateful
He might be teaching
you to be patient
to wait on Him
to quiet your aching heart

then you will be filled with inner peace
if you only trust His plans for you
the best in you is yet to come
and you will be the next in line
in His own, good, good time

so, your time will come next time.Just wait and see

that's a good way to look at it...we're on a line...and when He thinks we really need to, He will call us forward to come to the head of the line.....

Hi Meggie Angel - this poem is beautiful and teaches all so so much about prayer it is a poen straight from your lovely heart. I have scored it TEN but the advice is worth a MILLION! God is on duty 24/7 'He who watches over us never slumbers and never sleeps'. When we com to Him in Prayer we are encouraged to ASK SEEK & FIND. God has the answers to all our problems and you give us this assurance excellently in Verse One. 'God has infinite wisdom'. Your poem also assures that: 1. Our prayers are alway heard and logged in. 2. God always answers he never deletes. 3. God's Will is always better than 'Our own Way! '. If we believe these prayer principles we will get deep INNER PEACE and we can leave our PROBLEMS with the LORD. You express this in a lovely way in Verse Three. I know from expereince that to jump in too quick is so so often the wrong strategy. The Good Book says 'Sit still my daughter and see how these things will work out'. PATIENCE is one of the 'Nine Fruits of the Spirit'. God notes our prayers and answers them in His own good time. You express this perfectly in Verse Two. Often in the UK - when we ring the Doctor we are put on hold (Scott Joplin - The Entertainer) . When the receptionist answer she want to know how urgent our problem is and then we get an appointment several days ahead. Often - through 'prayer and an aspirin' the problem heals itself. Often prayer is like that. We pray about a problem (maybe a broken relationship) and after we pray we resolve to put it right - and often it gets solved. We pray and then set about answering our own prayer - God has a great sense of humour! I love the last line of Verse One 'Big problems require Stronger Faith'. Meggie you are so so lovely - thanks for a lovely Prayer Poem. Love you in Poetry - JOHN.

But then does not God, hear all cries and answers in his own time... Andy 10

Patience is indeed a virtue, and you pen it's importance very prettily in this charming poem. So often prayer becomes a mere stamping of the ego's foot. It's necessary to understand that the mystery is part of the 'great plan' and that what is meant to be will ultimately be. Wise words. Love, Allie ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥

As I was reading this I was singing 'IN His time...' and I look at Sandra's comment and she was doing the same... How great is that! ! ! regards Alf
