Oh So Bare Poem by Heather Burns

Oh So Bare

Rating: 5.0

They hover together
embracing

as the frigid wind
tears at the branches

standing oh so bare

searching for a coat
of warmth

an umbrella to carry
tears turn to ice

revealing inner most
secrets

wrapping arms around
each other

forming a shield of
protection.

This beautiful poem made me a day dreamer. I recollected hardships of a tiring, dejecting and frustrating day followed by a cold night of December with tears in my eyes due to fears of a doubtful future. I recollected the memories of my eve sent by God to relieve all my tensions and we embraced each other I found myself completely protected and free of all worries of a doubtful future. Thank You God life without an eve and her love would have been a rigorous imprisonment. Thanks to the great poetess who shared this lovely poem that hit the heart and burst out like a balloon of colors and fragrance and I send this beauty of colors and fragrance to Heather Burns through my comments as a gratitude.

Warmth of the heart can melt even the coldest of tears. Souls are bared but still warm. Nice.

I love the idea of having an umbrella as a shield against tears, that when it turns to ice, becomes transparent to reveal innermost fears. You have a unique style of expressing complex ideas in such a powerful, and succinct way.
