What I wouldn't give to have felt for just one day, the absolute belief in one's womanhood.. My regard for Maya Angelo is rock solid. This poem made me smile because all I could see was Maya walking down the street with her big white smile, strong female body and loving heart having fun.. Maya Angelou was such a woman who was really proud of her womanhood. She was confident of her inner strength and many talents. She hails that a woman be respected not only for her outward beauty, but for so many other thing she deserves.

    Now you understand
Just why my head's not bowed.
I don't shout or jump about
Or have to talk real loud.
    When you see me passing
It ought to make you proud.
    I say,
It's in the click of my heels,
    The bend of my hair,
    the palm of my hand,
    The need of my care,
    'Cause I'm a woman
    Phenomenal woman,
    That's me.
    - - - - - - - -It is really she.

The recitition of Blessed Sherrif gives to this precious work of art a magnificent conclusion! Poet, poem and recitator are ehere together like the Father, the Son and the Holy ghost! Wonderful! ! !
