Pillars Of Democracy Poem by Rajnish Manga

Pillars Of Democracy

Rating: 4.5

When the executive turns blind
And fails to discharge its duties
Judiciary has to get into action
As a true pillar of our democracy
Whether it is untamed pollution
Or deteriorating health services
Or an encounter-happy regime
Or murder of students in schools
Or rapes of minor girls in Bihar
Or UP shelter homes for children
Under the nose of Govt. Deptts.
owing to negligence or complicity
Or the burial ground for Ex-CM
Or rowdies in holy Kanwad Yatras
Who have unleashed violence
Blocked traffic, attacked cops
Destroyed propertyin Delhi/UP
Where's Executive's accountability?

So true. These things are happening quite alarmingly. But thank God, our democracy has the protection of a powerful judiciary.

A question that needs a thoughtful reply, judiciary must order the executive to take the necessary action. A thoughtful poem by Rajnish Manga.

Thanks for sharing your views on the subject. It seems that nobody is responsible for the mess created by administrative or executive inaction.

I too would like to ask, 'Where's Executive's responsibility? ' They are the ones who can stamp out these abuses in your country.

If each organ of the govt does its duty diligently, no problem will remain unresolved. Thanks, Michael.

No doubt, we hail from the same crowd. but when we see people entrusted to maintain law and order abdicating their duty, it hurts. Thanks for a very thoughtful feedback, Dear Friend.
