How true. Every poem must have a reader, yours just found one. Thanks for the invitation, your friend Lynn

This is true from one perception but if there is no real stuff in a poem, how can the reader get to the heart of it? We may be showing only a lantern but how can the viewer take it for a sun? Where there is clarity of thoughts between the creator and the listener/viewer, there won't be any loss of view. We often would say that beauty lies in the eyes of the beholder and pass on the stick to the beholder. Such a statement gives enough room for the creator to do any kind of vulgarity and escape. One can find this attitude of man in all fields.

Once a poem leaves the nest, it must fly under its own steam - and it will be interpreted differently depending upon the reader. That is the wonder of the process. As you express so eloquently, here, a poem can only become itself when it has a reader to share its dance. Love, Allie ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥

once we've shared a poem...it has already changed....the reader has already infused it with his own meaning....(and thanks for sharing this!)
