Race To Nowhere Poem by Sandra Feldman

Race To Nowhere

Rating: 5.0

Do good
And you get
Kicked and insulted.
Do bad
And you get
Reelected!
I don't recognize
This Country,
Anymore!
It must be some place
In outer space
Where lives,
A mutant race
That decency,
And conviviality,
Just ignore,
While Love is hung
To die,
Outside the door.

If an alien race were to study today's world, they would probably blow up the planet. Just to save ourselves from ourselves. Excellent write, Sandra!

Such is the world we live in as people become polarized to one ideology and the other to theirs with absolutely no compromising on anything whatsoever! ! It’s the raw anger and hatred that astonishes me...people are proud of this! A poem of truth!
