Raksha Bandhan Or The Blessings Of A Sister Poem by Rajnish Manga

Raksha Bandhan Or The Blessings Of A Sister

Rating: 4.4

Today we celebrate the festival
of Raksha Bandhan in which
the sister ties Rakhi on the wrist
of her brother and the bro in turn
promises to protecther from ills
Blessings and good wishes of sister
And promises of brother prevail.

My sister does not send me Rakhi
But sends her love and blessings
From a place nearly 12000 Km away
Her Blessings remain rock-solid-
Rakhis from an elder sister who-
Showers her motherly affection.

May she remain hale and hearty!

You are blessed to have such a likable sister, even though she is 12,000 miles away.

You have so astutely and startlingly inscribed on Raksha Bandhan which is an important festival of India celebrated as the affectionate bond between a brother and a sister. Your sister remaining in a distance could not send you a Rakhi but could send you her love and blessing. Thanks for sharing.

They also help us rejuvenate our bonds and relationships with the family and outside.

Your sister is physically very distant from you, but close in contact, I think. I have one young sister far away but we phone each other constantly. Or she sends a text. A poem which reminds me how significant family is-brothers and sisters.

3: Aside from the festival her token of sweetest sisterly love and greatest blessings have reached you, that might be a truly emotive experience each time she sends you her love and blessings at Raksha Bandhan. Thank you for sharing this impressive poem, Rajnish Sir. It's good to know that the many many festivals in India have a unique meaning each, to keep family-ties together with love and affection, and to keep the meaning as it must be
