Mind - a pool, deep and arcane,
Needs to be cleansed from time to time.
In the sinuous course of life,
Pause awhile, to peer into the depths.
Over the still waters, lies a layer of scum.
At the bottom is settled,
Toxic sediments of hate,
The residue of burnt dreams……..
Of unsavoury passions…..
If unattended, in this slushy mass of filth
Maggots may breed,
Eating into the flesh
Poisoning the vital serum
Pumped through the veins.
Purge the dross
Flush out the dirt
Rinse it clean
And feast on the sparkle,
Of clear waters
Springing from the well heads of love!
An honest and informative cautionary beginning, but a self affirming conclusion to be true to self and others and in love where hopefully in such waters, it springs eternal.
No holds barred here Valsa, but good advice - we all need to review ourselves occasionally and rinse away all the things that hold us back from being fully integrated human beings.
A very interesting poem, the last verse brought it all together, a fantastic write with good advice.
Mind should be deeply cleaned with beauty of purity, values, virtues and morality. Toxic sediments of hate should be removed soon. Poisoning the vital serum provokes thought. Pure nectar of values should be within mind and soul. Spring of love should sing continuously. Cleaning of mind is very necessary by God's grace and teachings. An outstanding poem is beautifully penned...10
Very insightful and inspiring and soul-stirring poem....a purgative tonic indeed if taken as therapy may prove life's elixir....Valsa........a wonderful poem with a great message.......10
Rinsing the mind has ever been a dream or a mission impossible. As the trauma of living haunts many, as the hurdle of indifference or a 'so what' attitude destabilises an equal number, we tend to pin hopes on a few oracles of life. Man is the ultimate residue of selfishness and opportunism all across the world. Concerted efforts, still remain to be rewarded if the power of love begins to have its say one day. The world of saints and sages who missed to see the brethren in woes need not be parameter of judgment here and the same man of today elevated to the next possible grade with concerns over his own cousins and their need for his bounteous love may one day stand before us.. He will have rinsed his mind and others too....
A purgative for the mind and soul-Yes we all need that. A real thought invoking poem, Worth reading over and over. Love is always the answer
The mind, one of the most important organs of the body, controls the whole body. Certainly, it needs to be healthy - that it may function at its best- at all times. Wonderful thought Valsa.

Great piece of wisdom here. On and on we do need a rinse, so true. I once read the comparison with an orange. If we press an orange, we always get orange juice We never get apple juice, never watermelon juice, only orange juice. The reason is that this is the only thing what is in it. If someone presses our nerve and out comes anger, hatred, thoughts of revenge, it is because that is what we have allowed to enter our minds. And what is inside is what comes out if pressed. All of us have unconditional love inside of us as well. The difference between us and saints is that saints have only unconditional love inside of them they did not allow in any anger or thoughts of hatred. Let us rinse on and off and soon we may have only love left. Excellent poetry
