Rodney Poem by LeeAnn Azzopardi

Rodney

Rating: 5.0

I remember you, Rodney
You were serenading me 'I Want Yr Sex' by George Michael
That day at the beginning of Grade Ten math class
When I think about it, I still feel ill
I had to be the one no one would dare to sit beside
It was everybody fear
To sit next to the freaky so-called Lesbian
All that time, I haven't changed
I am still obsessed with Sting
Those were the Eighties
I wish I couldn't remember them now

Nostalgia, like two poles of the magnet, can either attract or repel. Awesome verse, LeeAnn.
