I sent my Soul through the Invisible,
Some letter of that After-life to spell:
And by and by my Soul return'd to me,
And answer'd 'I Myself am Heav'n and Hell: '

I have ' The Rubaiyat of Omar Khayyam' in front of me as I read your exact translation of Edward Fitzgerald. The whole poem delights me as does this stanza: 'I Myself am Heav'n and Hell'. There is so much meaning below the surface of the words.
