"A book of verses underneath the bough
A flask of wine, a loaf of bread and thou
Beside me singing in the wilderness
And wilderness is paradise now."

मदिरा पात्र हो, भोजन हो व प्रिये तुम्हारी सोहबत हो
साथ मेरे यदि स्वर-लहरी तुम छेड़ सको निर्जन वन में
फिर नहीं असंभव निर्जन वन ही हम जैसों की जन्नत हो"
