Salute to ‘Author unknown’
“Is it not strange, that princes and kings,
And clowns who frolic in circus rings,
And common folk like thee and me,
Are builders for eternity”?
“To each is given a book of rules,
A block of stone and a bag of tools,
And each must make ere time has flown
A stumbling block or a stepping stone”.
Unknown is the author of this fine thesis,
But it’s wisdom therein never ceases
My salute to you poet friend unknown,
For by these words, through life I’ve grown.
