Searching - Poem by Mandi Meyer

I wait for you
I cry alone
I long for a change that may never come.
My mind aches
My heart breaks
Will we ever find a moment of peace?
I’m drifting on a sea of tears
I cannot seem to quell my fears
I’m lost in my emotions.
I cannot seem to find the light
But I know I’ll make it through the night
Although the pain is burning bright
I’ll never give up without a fight.
