Sickly Cyclone Titli Poem by Kumarmani Mahakul

Sickly Cyclone Titli

Rating: 4.8

Meteorological forecasting told us
A sickly cyclone came hitting East Coast,
Sickly greenish wind blew in high speed,
Old whooping was repeated and heard,
Primordial sense of weather provoked,
Intense tropical speedy wind did hit,
Mountains collapsed and trees broke,
Flowery branches fell down in streets.

Alarming moment talked to tropical zones,
Periodic and devastating scenes broke mind,
Muddy rainy water flowed in street roads,
Wet wilted leaves flew above city sky,
Bricks fell down from boundary walls
And elusive perception of cyclone cried,
Sentient mind attached to sickly cyclone,
Asphalts gathered coming out from roads,
Gravels flew with highly speedy wind,
Rude riding of cyclonic storm giggled,
Western disastrous wind whipped soon,
Heavy rainfall brought flood in rivers.

After cyclone sluggish wind smiled,
Sulky devastation murmured in high rate,
Birds losing their nests cried in agony,
Homelessness grew looking towards sky,
Flood took away Wild animals and elephants,
Wiping out every street wind wept finally,
Broken branches blocked the streets
And men found no way to walk around,
A sickly and sulky cyclone frightened.
This cyclone named Titli came and went!

A vivid portrayal of a violent tropical storm. It depicted how a strong wind and heavy rains could bring disaster to a particular place. A disaster that could crumble every man's dreams. Well crafted write. Very informative.10++++

Cyclone Titli had frightened us a lot and we had taken care of people and us to protect lives. Trees had broken down. Loses were witnessed. We pray God; such cyclone should not come in future.

I wonder sometime how we select such a soft name 'Titli' meaning 'Butterfly' for a dreadsome cyclone !
