Sketch 5 Poem by Ahmad Shiddiqi

Sketch 5

Rating: 3.8

in the midmost shrine of Aji Jayabaya – cloudy sky
the myriad-tinkling attacks – in its deeps a poem maiden craves
shuffle of waves' leaves – draw close – tender eyes
warbling drawl of bluish clarinets – where the king cooled heart's beat

(dedicated to a great poet, Gary Snyder)
