Sleep Poem by yoonoos peerbocus

Sleep

Rating: 4.7

When sleep is in, all is out
even body and will save what lives
in me and burns akin to the wakefulness
the blind have in sleep.I wander wondering
amidst human activities and landscape

much plagiarised from a known
but now veiled site, unaware
whence I came and why and why have I to go
and where and once there what should
I do.Mind cannot mark this entity

as a measure of my holding or a map
for further visit. It has no name.No
king was born here nor any president
died here.So it is called dream.I loiter
as a country's lost property

with no office to claim me back.Asleep,
it amounted to a real insight, when left
by clock time no clue found
of who I am save leftover dream and sleep
receding with no footprint left.

" Let us go beyond our logic." _Prabir Gayen. So Sleep takes us beyond the boundaries of this mundane world. " When sleep is in, all is out." _ a sweet reflection on sleep. I really enjoyed reading it.

Are we in the real world when awake? Or when we dream? The world we see when awake is dream, and the world of dream the real... because when sleep is in, all is out., intriguing, thought provoking.

When one is asleep, he sees either a sweet dream or a nightmare. Sound sleep is all we need to wake up in freshness with a strong spirit....10+++

I loiter as a country's lost property What more does a reader want in such a poem as this? Remarkable verses. Very much experiential as well for the reader as for the poet himself. You could catch everything related to sleep in this poem.

No clue found of who I am save leftover dream... Wonderfully captures our lost dreams and veiled memories. We spend half our lives sleeping yet it remains largely mysterious what we find and leave in dreamtime. thank you for this piece
