April storm brings a brush of snow.
Heart marvels at it's pure white glow.
Earth has no means to hold on to it
Cycle of season doesn't support it.
But my eyes gather this rare treasure
To make the heart rejoice in pure pleasure.
Sparse snowflakes smash on the ground
Disappear in warm earth; not a trace found.
Bracing the cold I walk out of the door
And raise my hands to catch some snow.
The short lived stars fall upon my hand
Soon to disappear in a fleeting moment.
But not in vain was my child like game for
Spirit subdued through winter was risen again.

Lovely poem that flows beautifully. Last two lines speak a lot..A 10 for this.
When I was 16, I was on spring break and it was lovely spring weather and all of a sudden it started snowing out of a blue and puffy white cloud day! ! ! ! My horse thought it as odd as I thought it! ! I hope it isn't a sign of global warming but if it is stick your hand out and grab yourself a snow star! ! Beautifully written and so many lines flow like silk!
Glee of April snow is beautifully depicted. Scientists may say it is global warming but all we see is what happens with a warm heart.
As we age, sometimes events happening brings back memories of pain or joy from years gone by and they are moments to be treasured. Thank you for the memories.
