I have loved but you,
In the shadows of my loneliness
In the depths of my solitude
In the sadness, of a gray blue sea,
Drowning in the pain of separation
Carried by cold winds of litany,
Memories and constant repetition
That keep crying, deep inside of me.
I shall love but you,
Even in separation,
Like the Lonely moon
Loves the vastness of the sea,
As her light at night is reflected,
Floating diamonds, of a love,
That's felt so preciously,
And is so deeply embedded,
That no matter where, my destiny,
I shall love you deeply
Till life's ended,
Then together we shall be
In that secret place
Where all love is blended
With the stars,
You and me, forever,
Forever, free.
Wow..wow, , , wow! ! ! How appropriate to bring a witness to verify the depth of your love, your lonely moon..which I have visited many nights when I needed poetic balance, bless you Sandra for being a true poetess of this age! ! !
I shall love but you/Even in separation/Like the Lonely moon….the expression emanates from an illustrious pen…the stark beauty and depth of expression partially resembles the articulation of Shakespeare’s True love…10
Can love and pain and longing be properly defined? Your poem paints them all....
