So Long
So long, my love
I'm leaving not because of you
But of a dream
That I spent a lifetime pursuing
And it will die if I stay
As it is more important to me than love
So long, dear
I will never lose the vision of yr face
When I am old and writing my memoir
I will be reminded of the times we have
Like watching the stars fall
Or reading tea leaves to see the outcome
But my ride is coming
And I have new adventures to conquest
I hope you'll understand that I want to be free
Sometimes it is hard to choose between love and dream yet there are times that we can have them both without sacrificing the other. A wonderful poem.
