Some poems are
More like a prayer
For us to live
In peace and unity
Under the Stars,
In love and care.
Yes,
Some poems are
Those dreams well thought
Yet not attained,
In violence caught.
What will it take
To live in peace?
To have the harmony
Not violent, beasts
That kill each other.
We are strange creatures
Unclassified,
No longer cavemen
But still,
Uncivilized...

Absolutely! When you read a poem it should be like a prayer bringing peace and harmony. There is no place for violence, hatred and jealousy in poetry.
