'Still Standing' Poem by Bernard Snyder

'Still Standing'

Rating: 4.8

When I look at the road from which I came
and the bridges I had to cross
the mountains I was asked to climb
and rivers I swam across,
it doesn't seem likely
I would still be able to stand
adversity kept me on my knees constantly
but it also made me who I am.

Life is full of mystery and stand. I would still be able to stand. I would look at the road I have to cross. Wonderful presentation and nice feelings shared.

Bridges, mountains, the rivers which are beautiful creations of nature and bound to climb, swim, cross over by the humans and in effect the human being have to make strenuous attempts for life success. Through that experience we go forward in life and here the poet have created a meaningful and intuitive poem about life and it is so nice and praiseworthy. I likes.

We have shared the same shoes Bernard and we are proud of what we have become. To Still Be Standing and guiding others is incredibly fulfilling. Thank you

Life is a tortuous game of climbing mountains and swimming across seas! When we look back, we feel awed by the hurdles crossed in life and wonder if we would ever be able to take such hardships in future! But to our great satisfaction, we find that we still stand unaffected and discern that such adversities made us stronger and made us what we are now! Great write, Bernard!

Often amazed at how wounded and wobbling I may be, that in the smallest of steps, I make it through the toughest of journeys. Thanks for pointing out that we are not alone in the effort. Your words resonated. PEACE
