Sunlight And Showers Poem by Hazel Durham

Sunlight And Showers

Rating: 4.8

Sweet and sour,
Dark and light,
I daydream of golden fields,
Shining so bright,

The Killeshin hills are always a certainty
In a world of so much uncertainty,
The sun is smiling as I approach Carlow,
Yellow golden fields on either side,

Killeshin hills shimmer like a green silk bow,
I'm on my way home
To Graiguecullen on the border of County Laois and Carlow,
Our love is a seed ready to sow,

Will it blossom and bloom?
In the sunlight and showers of life's show
Of fears, tears and cheers,
We are on a journey around the roads of Carlow,

Talking, arguing as moods change,
Sometimes my love you are out of range,
But the seed has been sown
It struggles to find nourishment,

Hope is the light shining like the magic of nature sent,
With our energy of passion as our souls collide,
Carlow gives us sunlight and showers
As golden fields sway on either side,

Of our journey's quest,
With our smiles so wide,
We are far from the sea but the incoming tide
Is here touching our hearts shore,

Love is alive since we opened the secret door
To discover we are at the center of nature's healing core.

Such a positive and uplifting poem! Lovely description of the scenery, poetically blended with emotions, and: '' Love is alive since we opened the secret door To discover we are at the center of nature's healing core. '' - most beautiful lines!

I feel like I've been walking beside you in those golden fields of golden fields, Shining so bright, walking beside you in your Killeshin hills that are always your certainty In a world of so much uncertainty, and the sun is smiling as we approach your Carlow, as we are on your way home To Graiguecullen on the border of County Laois and on a journey around the roads of Carlow, - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - That is good writing, my dear, to put me on thos e roads between those golden fields of your home... I have never been out of the United States... except everytime I read your poems so rich in sunshine and golden fields and faraway words.... Thank you for the journey and for taking me along as a friend as you contemplate the longevity of your love.... but your closing lines tell me so beautifully that, yes, love blooms and blossoms in the homeland- - We are far from the sea but the incoming tide Is here touching our hearts shore, Love is alive since we opened the secret door To discover we are at the center of nature's healing core

Each and every stanza is marvelous. Flow of your ink is shining and bright like sunshine and cool as the rays of moon. Words are twinkling like the star. I hope to share with you all. Thanks for sharing. Regards.
