Thebeauty Within Poem by Meggie Gultiano

Thebeauty Within

Rating: 5.0

A beauty that comes from within
is a beauty age cannot wrinkle
Never distracted by a simple pimple
But by a radiant face of joy and pleasure
A woman of inner beauty
Is a life full of love and bounty
Her sweet smile won't ever fade away
For the Lord is her security
She longs for a pure heart
And wears a cheerful countenance
She does not need any color to overhaul
As her beauty is within after all

Inner beauty is true beauty and not only surface. My mother always said, beauty is as beauty does. People who act ugly tend to look that way eventually. It's about heart and soul and you have done well expressing it in your poem. '10! ' Meggie. Warm Wishes, Marilyn

This is a wonderfully inspiring poem Meggie. We are being told constantly by advertisers paid huge sums to do so that we need makeup, or botox or breast implants in order to be accorded 'worth'. So many women gaze despondently in the mirror because the image they see is not been re-touched, like those in the magazines. Believe me. I watch the faces of my students (old and young) as they practice their yoga and beauty shines out of every pore. Thanks for sharing this. Love, Allie ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥
