The Saddest Things In The World Poem by Practicing Poetess

The Saddest Things In The World

Rating: 5.0

An unread poem
An unheard song
Childless toys
An abandoned church building
An orphaned child
A beautiful woman, unloved
A war-torn city
A wasted life.

There are many more examples of the saddest things in the world. Let's say: When a smart man makes a fool of himself.

I wouldn't call it tragic, but I agree it would be sad, because he could do better. Thanks for commenting, Zoran! : -)

the saddest thing in the world is giving up on GOD and yourself

You are most likely correct, Louis. That would be two of the saddest things a person could do. 'The Dark Night of the Soul' - - - Keep going, even when you see no feasible reason for continuing, and even when God seems far, far away...... Thank you for commenting.

A beautiful woman, unloved.... A wasted life. Then you ask yourself, what is the reason for being? Nice poem.....

Actually, the beautiful woman unloved, and the wasted life are not synonymous- - they refer to two different people- - but have in common that they are both examples of sad things. Thank you so much, Chito, for reading and commenting! : -)
