The Snail Poem by Parameswaran Nair Damodaran Nair

The Snail

Rating: 5.0

The snail is proud of its shell
And carries the vanity everywhere
Cowers and shrinks in and escape
At the instance of dangers.
Fallacy makes it overconfident
Of the strength of the shell
And the safety-feeling inside
And moves around freely
Poor thing!
Doesn't get enough time
To realise the truth
Before being crushed

POET'S NOTES ABOUT THE POEM
When God create small beings means of safety is also instilled. Misunderstanding the real purpose of the gifts turns arrogant and fall down to disaster
