Rod Serling would have loved this
We're living a bad dream
And something's greatly amiss
Pandemic, so it seems.
The world's been turned upside-down,
Coronavirus rules.
The city is a ghost town,
Bereft of all but fools.
The shops are full of masked men,
The shelves empty of goods.
When will this nightmare end?
I'd change things, if I could.
We're ordered to stay at home,
To halt the virus spread.
But we don't do well alone,
Isolation's what we dread.
Such an excellent expression about these awful times. Isolation can make one feel ill too.
Isolation can make one feel CRAZY! It's good to be back here on PH again, after an extended absence. This safe, worldwide virtual community of fellow poets is the perfect solution to social isolation. And boredom is impossible when you're reading and writing poetry. PH to the rescue! Thanks Aqua, for saying 'Hi', and for commenting. Hope you are keeping well, and occupied!

I would like to translate this poem
in this world of lost dreams where pandemic rules, our frontliners do not have the right tools. no masks or PPE for them, but they watch over our families till the very end. thank them for what they do for they are protecting me and also you.
I couldn't agree more, Louis, with your comment framed in poetic form. Thank you for commenting, and be blessed! (There are still silver linings to be found in this huge, grey cloud!) : -)
